Big Green Festival coming to Ketton
The Ketton Climate Action Group is hosting a Big Green Festival in Ketton on Sunday 2 October.
The event is part of the Great Big Green Week, the UK’s biggest celebration of community action to tackle climate change and protect nature, which runs from 24 September to 2 October.
Ketton’s Big Green Festival will take place in Hall Close on Sunday 2 October from 2pm to 4pm. Village groups and organisations are coming together to organise a range of activities for all ages, including a recycling workshop, planting trees from seeds, making wildflower bombs, a bring and buy stall, energy saving tips while cooking, a hands on activity measuring carbon in trees and a demonstration of various electric bikes.
There is no parking available at Hall Close so people are asked to walk or cycle to the Festival wherever possible. Anyone coming by car is asked to show consideration for local residents when deciding where to park. Pedestrian access from Ketton High Street is via Bull Lane.
