Community support for Ketton Litter Picks
The Ketton Climate Action Group is attracting widespread support for its regular litter picks with up to 20 local residents helping at each event. The group has also been pleased to see Hanson Cement Ketton getting involved. Marie White from Hanson joined the Ketton Climate Action Group on their April litter pick, which covered Hanson’s lorry park as well as other parts of the village. The June edition of Hanson’s community newsletter featured a story on the community litter picks on its front page, with works manager Sinan Urhan paying tribute to the efforts of the litter pickers in raising awareness of the importance of keeping the working environment clean and tidy. The Ketton Climate Action Group hope to build on the relationship with the village’s biggest employer by ensuring that actions on climate change and protecting the environment are key priorities for Hanson Cement in their Ketton operations.
